How to say "Thank You" in Mauritian Creole?
What are the different ways to say thank you and does it depend on the context? Let me know please.

This is very simple and straightforward. You just say "mersi".
Listen to the audio below to learn the pronunciation:
It's like the French say "merci" but we write it slightly different by substituting the "c" for an "s" in the word.
Using thank you in a conversation
You're buying something from a clothing store.
- Shop Assistant: Your receipt is in the bag with your dress [U resi dan sac avek u rob].
- You: Thank you [Mersi].
Something fell from your purse as you're walking.
- MrGoodKarma runs to you and hands over your precious lipstick.
- You: Thanks so much [Mersi boucou].
While grabbing your mug, coffee spills on your top and you're desperately looking for a paper towel.
- Handsome guy next to you offers their handkerchief
- You: Thanks a lot [Mersi bien]
Needless to say that gesture sends involuntary electric pulses through your heart, thus raising your body temperature and leaving a red hue on your pale cheeks and in the coming months you find yourself looking up how to say I love you in Creole.
